Description:

Legendary cold tolerance. The absolute most cold tolerant palm tree known to exist. Will survive temperatures below 0 degrees F. Very spiny trunk, slow growing. Native habitat is in filtered shady forests of the southeastern USA. The tree grows equally well in cultivation under sunny conditions. Trees are low growing and shrub like in appearance with rich green foliage and very attractive. Appreciates moisture but can be somewhat drought tolerant too.
