Lakeside Palmetum Tour on October 24, 2026 - with optional lunch

Celebrating the Lakeside Palmetum – October 24, 2026

We’re hosting our last meeting of the year at the Palmetum with a tour of the garden itself and future plans for the Palmetum. Keith Jaeger and Will Abel will be leading the tour and sharing their vision for future plantings and other activities such as maps of the garden and identification of the main species on display. The tour will start at 2:00 PM.  There will be beverages available.

We have a group booking at a local restaurant, The Portal, from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm if you would like to join us.  It is billed as: The classic Lake Merritt brunch spot, entering a new chapter. Afghan, Lebanese and Belizean flavors, Oakland energy, and food made from memory, migration, family, and whatever tastes good together.
